Tune Up Utilities - 2010

Ok, did the d/l from HotFile. However, there seems to be a problem with the extraction within WInRar. Does not seem able to get onto the 1st volume. Looking for a file in User\name\appdata\local\temp\ind-tup.rar?? Running Vista. Asking to insert disk.

Any ideas - thanks,
Sofspra

maybe corrupted download

worked fine for me Re-download and try extracting it again with the password ....once extracted you have to extract the set of Rar files again before you are able to use the TU setup Program and key file.

Utilities 2010

Ok, did another d/l, this time from Rapidshare. The file looks the same.

Getting the same error about incorrect volume, etc. Could it be a Vista 64 problem? Want to find a file in my USERS folder, the one used by Vista. Problem seems to be within WInRar but who knows.

Thanks,

Sofspra

Thumbs up Utilities 2010

OldHacker - you are right on the money. I followed your instructions and it installed just great - also took the serial #.

I had never done it like that before. Never too old to learn.

Another great find on a great site. Thanks to all.

Keep this in mind the next time you extract and see more rar or zip files in the extraction!! I have seen programs that had to be extracted as many as 4 times. Don't what that was all about??

Glad I could help you!!

Tune Up Utilities - 2010

Say FJC1 - Oldhackers instructions are right on the money. It is just 2 extractions. Just do exactly as shown.

As you have found out, on this one NO!! Just extract the first rar..... BUT sometimes there will be a time that you will have to extract them all. I have seen that a few times, It all depends on how the uploader repacked the files. This does not happen to often!!

2 ways you can easily check, and on this one I checked.

1....extract the first file only, and if the install works then your done extracting. If it does not work then you may have to extract all the rar files.

2...extract the first file.... then try to extract the second rar.... if you get the message that "This file already Exists, do you want to replace it" then you don't have to go any further. If the second rar extracts with out the error message, then you know you will have to carry on and extract them all!!

I used the second method on this one because the extraction was so fast and there was 5 rar's. I just had to check!!

Rule of thumb: If you extract rar or zip files and end up with more rar or zip files.... Extract again!! and keep on extracting if need be!!
